Profenor · a free week, then a full month
Your bank deposit doesn't match your Shopify sales report. I'll find every missing dollar.
Send me one week of your Shopify payouts and the matching bank line. I'll reconcile it by hand and send you back a real report showing exactly where the gap is, at no cost. You can redact customer names, emails and addresses before you send anything — I only need the money columns. If the number is worth chasing, the full month is $300.
Where the money hides
Fees and currency charges
Shopify and Stripe both take a cut before the money ever reaches your bank. Processing fees, currency conversion charges and cross-border charges are subtracted before the deposit lands, so the number in your sales report is never the number in your bank feed. These arrive as their own lines in your payout, separate from the orders that caused them, which is exactly why they are so hard to trace back by eye. I find every one of them and tie each back to the sales it came from.
Reserves and holds
Payment processors can hold back a percentage of your payout as a reserve, releasing it days or weeks later on a schedule that has nothing to do with your accounting calendar. Revenue you earned this month can sit outside this month's deposit entirely, then show up in a later payout with no obvious label pointing back to the original sale.
Refunds, disputes and timing
A refund issued today can be netted against a payout that includes sales from three days ago, so the deposit total stops lining up with any single day's orders. Disputes and chargebacks pull money out on their own schedule, and payout timing itself, batching a week of sales into a deposit that lands on a different date, means your sales report and your bank statement are describing two different clocks.
"If Shopify are saying they deposited X but our bank account says Y and they do not match, then Shopify has to be in error. What other explanation is there?"

What's free, what's paid, and who owns your data
Your data stays yours. You can ask for it back or ask me to delete it at any time, and I will.
The free week is a real report, not a teaser. The paid month is the same report across the full period with every remaining discrepancy explained.
Nothing is hidden until after you've sent your files. What is free and what is paid is exactly what this page says.
How this works
- You send me two things: one Shopify payouts export (Finances → Payouts → Export) and the matching line from your bank. That is the whole ask for the free week. If I hit something I cannot explain without your order export or product costs, I will ask you then, and you can say no. Send it here.
- I reconcile that week by hand and send you a real report within two business days: your total gap for the week, plus three of the discrepancies fully explained, and an honest count of how many more I found.
- If the number looks worth chasing, the full month is $300 and I send the complete report with every discrepancy explained and a list of what to change so next month stays clean.
- If it doesn't, you keep the free week and we're done. No follow-up, no list.
What you get
- A tied-out month: your sales report and your bank deposit reconciled to the dollar.
- A one-page money map showing exactly where every dollar between your sales report and your bank deposit went.
- A short list of what to change so next month stays clean.

Get the full month, $300Refunded in full if I can't tie it out. The checkout closes after five paid months, because I do these by hand and would rather turn work away than miss a turnaround.
If you want this every month
Profenor is the software I'm building that does this reconciliation automatically for Shopify sellers. At public launch it's $149 per month.
Founding members pay $79 per month, and that rate holds for as long as you stay subscribed. Beta members lock that rate if they choose to continue after launch.

Who's doing this
I'm Dexter. I'm building Profenor, software that does this automatically for Shopify sellers. I do these months by hand first because it's the only honest way to build it.
This is for US stores settling in US dollars. If you take payment in several currencies I'll say so before you pay, rather than take your money and hand you a month I can't stand behind.
